Rashtravadi Janta Party has renewed its long standing demand for the creation of a separate Mithilanchal Pradesh comprising Darbhanga, Madhubani, Samastipur, Sitamarhi, Begusarai, Khagaria, Saharsa and the neighbouring districts.

Party workers submitted a memorandum to the state administration and announced a phased agitation in the region.
